Thinking Spring.

THE CATS AND I ARE THINKING SPRING!

We got several inches of snow last night with a little rain that left a thin icy coating on top. Angel is big enough to get through it, but poor Biscuit tried to plow his way along and it really scraped up his tender skin on his legs.  I put some antibiotic ointment on it and hopefully he will now stay where I have shoveled.

I finished my purse, and I have been doing a little embroidery, but most of my time lately has been working on my genealogy.  I have a class Wed. on immigration and I want to have things in order so I know who I am going to look for at Ellis Island!  On my mothers paternal side I have gone back 7 generations and in the early 1700's they came from Germany.  Hope to find those records.

Part of the Statue of Liberty National Monument.

Ellis Island is in Hudson County, in the New York metro area.
The community was named for Samuel Ellis, who owned the island in the early 1700s.

I have been following every one's blogs, just haven't spent much time posting on my own.  In Feb I will be going to Florida for a couple of weeks but will probably post from there.

Wow, who is this good looking guy?    It's my grandson Ryan who turns 14 Tuesday.

He plays guitar and the band from his music school put on a show in a club Sat. afternoon.  We drove 3 hours to see him play and it was worth the trip, He is really good.
